Tile grout replace
Old grout can give your flooring a shabby appearance. Removing old grout and replacing it with a new one, is the tactic most home owners use to give an instant makeover to their floors.
Removing grout from ceramic tile can be done without tile removal. It is a job done by hand with a small metal scraper tool. Be careful, as they can easily scratch the glazed tile surface.
Remove the grout fragments on a regular basis to minimize scratch hazards then vacuum all remaining grout and dust.
At the pre-cleaned surface apply special grout cleaning fluid with a sponge to remove the rest of the dust and fat. Cleaner will also help reduce the absorbency of the prepared substrate.
Mix the grout. Carefully follow to package directions, and using a grout float, force the grout into the grout channels. Let it dry for about 10-15 minutes, then clean the grouting area with a damp sponge.
For a few days fresh joints should be lightly moistened with clean water to prevent grout cracking.
